# Mictoo

> Free AI transcription tool. Turn audio and video into text in seconds. MP3, MP4, WAV, M4A, WEBM, FLAC, YouTube URLs. Whisper-quality output, 50+ languages, no signup, files auto-deleted after 24 hours.

Mictoo is an indie project. Not venture-funded, not a free tier bolted onto a paid product. Free for files up to 25 MB anonymously, 60 MB with a free sign-in, 180 MB via auto-split. Powered by OpenAI Whisper large-v3 (served by Groq for speed, OpenAI as fallback). Files stream to the transcription provider, never stored on our servers.
